Today I feel at peace.

The past few months have been a maelstrom of attempted plans, successes and failures in production.

I've come out of the woods understanding a lot more about scheduling, about expectations of production in my own work and how baby steps really work.

Matt and I are hard into research for our new projects. Matt's enjoying the poetic and prose edda for the first time and I find myself falling in love with them all over again. The language and the feeling of history. There's an aspect of it that feels like 2 Kings in the Old Testament or The Nihon Shoki, lists upon lists. But swimming within that you find such a rich, imaginative world constructed so carefully.

It's emotional. As Matt says, there is a balance of deep emotional speech and stoic explanation.

I feel like there are threads of this aesthetic deeply woven into Scandinavian design and life.

We are working on sourcing and scripting for a graphic novel, a web-comic, a concept album, and a film. It feels massive. But not overwhelming.

Such is the beauty of collaboration.
